Today we are celebrating our 32nd day on the trail! We completed our longest mileage yesterday – 16.8 miles. It was a doozy! We pushed a bit farther than we may have otherwise because of thunderstorms that were supposed to roll through in the night. We made it to a hostel just off the trail and were so glad we did when we woke up to some of the loudest thunder I’ve ever heard. I was very happy to be indoors!
Today we gave ourselves a short day, just over 6 miles. The trail goes right through downtown Hot Springs, NC so we thought we would hang out in town for the day, resupply with trail food and head out in the morning. I love when the trail goes through towns, it’s such a welcome treat!
I’ve been taking short videos since the start of our hike and I spliced them all together. It gives a little glimpse into our trail life. I can’t believe it’s already been over a month!
